Who We Are
The Faculty of Music Anti-Racism Alliance (FoMARA) is a youth organization founded in 2020 by a group of students committed to bringing about change in their community by championing efforts against inequality and systemic racism, and using the mighty tools of art and education to create a platform to empower and inspire the hearts and minds of many.

This is a symbol for “unity in diversity”. It is a Ghanaian symbol which represents unity among different religions and intercultural acceptance. It champions and stresses the importance of promoting cultural blending and recognition.

Fun Facts
The note in “FoMARA” can be an A, or C in treble clef; it can be a C or an E in bass clef; and in Alto clef it can be a B or a D. Each letter signifies the following respectively: Acknowledgement, Community, Change, Equality, Belonging, and Diversity. It is analogous to how we are all different but equal. Through the portrayal of this note, there is unity in it’s notation, however, encompassed within its diverse interpretations.
